Five Years of Watt Footprint: Empowering Businesses to Take Control of Their Energy

Five years ago, Watt Footprint began with one mission, to give businesses back control over their energy. What started as an idea between two Irish engineers has become a global success story. In five years, we have delivered more than 44 million kWh in energy savings, helped clients save over €9 million, and prevented 16,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

These results demonstrate our clients’ commitment to smarter energy management and our shared belief that sustainability and profitability can work together.

From our origins in Ireland, we have expanded into the UAE, launched an advanced Energy Management Platform, and secured €7 million in funding to accelerate innovation. In the UAE, Watt Footprint supports both private and public-sector organisations in achieving greater energy efficiency, aligning with the nation’s Net Zero 2050 strategy and the legacy of COP28.
